Glen Park at Ojai is seeking a passionate and creative Activities Director to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors with memory impairments.

Position Overview
The Activities Director is responsible for designing and leading engaging programs that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being for our memory care residents.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and conduct daily activities that encourage social interaction, cognitive stimulation, physical movement, and continued independence.

Activities include:

• Socialization - Reminiscence groups, current events discussions, bingo, arts & crafts, music, pet therapy, and interactive group activities.
• Daily Living Skills - Walking groups, snack times, community outings such as breakfast or lunch outings, and structured daily routines.
• Leisure Activities - Card games, bowling, movie matinees, gardening, and interest-based programming.
• Physical Activities - Exercise programs, dancing, range-of-motion activities, strength-building games, and coordination exercises.

Educational Programs - Guest speakers such as police or fire safety, travel presentations, faith-based studies, and lifelong learning opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 1 year related experience (senior living preferred)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to pass a physical exam and criminal background clearance

Special Skills
• High energy and enthusiasm
• Compassion and patience when working with seniors with memory impairments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to engage residents, families, and staff professionally
• Basic computer skills preferred

Job Details

• Full-Time position
• 8-hour shifts
• Weekends as needed
• Work Location: In person at Glen Park at Ojai
