Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand as needed.
• Ensure all items are sanitized according to food safety standards and organizational protocols.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients under supervision.
• Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during busy periods to facilitate smooth service flow and maintain cleanliness.
• Manage waste disposal efficiently while adhering to recycling and environmental guidelines.
• Help with setting up banquet or catering events by providing clean tableware and assisting with light food handling tasks when required.

Skills  

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards is advantageous.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers.
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning and organization practices.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in fast-paced settings.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and serving is a plus.
