Hood Lumber, a division of Hood Industries, Inc., is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in Waynesboro, MS. This is an excellent time to join our organization as we construct a new, state-of-the-art sawmill in reinforcing our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
Hood Industries, Inc. is a blend of wood manufacturing and distribution concerns that include plywood and lumber manufacturing plants, and twenty-three specialty wood product distribution operations, located in fifteen states serving the northeast, southeast and southwest United States.
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist plays a key role in promoting occupational health and safety awareness and supporting all safety and environmental programs for approximately 200 employees. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering training, coaching employees, performing inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance with OSHA and other agencies. This role also assists in leading incident investigations, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans while reinforcing the company’s commitment to safe, responsible operations and compliance with established policies and regulations.

Salary Range: $61,940 - $72,000
