What To Expect
The Operations Project Manager will work closely with members of the Operations Management, Infrastructure Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Controls and Procurement departments to complete projects and continue operations during production. This role will supervise all on-site operations construction including scheduling of trade contractors, vendor tool installations, resolving day to day construction issues, performing day to day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule and budget. What You'll Do Successfully deliver, design build, and self-performed construction projectsSupport and lead inhouse labor and competing prioritiesEnsure on time, or ahead of time delivery of operations projects, enabling the teams to solve problems and prioritize executionPromote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and companywideUse efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary, including the ability to clearly communicate risksEmploy a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goalsProvide the best product for your respective project’s customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise
What You'll Bring Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experienceIdeally 6 years minimum of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projectsExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a mustAdvanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, and Architectural, Mechanical, electrical, life safety and controls scopesHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Construction Cost/Data AnalysisWillingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your times through challenging projectsAbility to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
