Job Description

The Healthcare Data Analyst supports analytics, dashboard development, performance monitoring, and operational reporting activities for healthcare transformation, public health, and government modernization initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making through development of dashboards, visualizations, recurring reports, and reporting processes aligned with program objectives and stakeholder requirements.

Working closely with program leadership, evaluation teams, analysts, and stakeholders, the Healthcare Data Analyst helps ensure that reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with operational and evaluation priorities.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present data in a clear and meaningful way for technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with healthcare or operational datasets and supporting fast-paced reporting and analytics activities.

This role may support Rural Health Transformation Programs (RHTP) and other state-led healthcare transformation initiatives focused on improving healthcare access, quality, delivery system performance, care coordination, and population health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, and recurring reporting outputs that support program oversight and stakeholder reporting.
  • Prepare operational, performance, and ad hoc reports aligned with program objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Support development of executive reporting materials, summaries, and data visualizations for stakeholder communications and decision-making.
  • Coordinate reporting timelines, data submissions, and reporting deliverables across teams and stakeholders.
  • Assist with maintaining consistency and accuracy across dashboards, reports, and reporting artifacts.

Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

  • Analyze healthcare, operational, and program performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Support tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and operational metrics across program workstreams.
  • Prepare and validate datasets used for reporting and analysis activities, ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Assist with identification of trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance insights within datasets.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting activities associated with program operations and evaluation initiatives.

Data Quality & Documentation

  • Support data validation, reporting quality assurance, and documentation activities.
  • Maintain reporting documentation, methodologies, data definitions, and reporting processes.
  • Assist with maintaining organized reporting records, tracking logs, and data governance documentation.
  • Contribute to reporting process improvements, dashboard enhancements, and operational analytics initiatives.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively across operational, analytical, evaluation, and program teams in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, responsiveness, and strong analytical capabilities.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Health, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting analytics, reporting, dashboard development, operational reporting, or performance measurement activities.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or similar business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations, public health initiatives, government-funded programs, or operational reporting environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting executive reporting, KPI tracking, or operational performance monitoring preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data findings effectively.
  • Experience supporting dashboard development, reporting activities, data visualization, and operational analytics initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and visualization platforms.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, and visually effective reports and dashboards for stakeholder audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience supporting KPI tracking, operational reporting, and performance monitoring activities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.

Work Schedule

Consistent, full-time work expected Monday – Friday, eight hours per day in a focused and fast-paced environment.
