As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in upholding our values and goals by performing your job to the best of your ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate radio, telephones, computerized and electronic communications equipment.
• Perform clerical work for the Security Department.
• Work varying or rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 operation.
• Act with independence and initiative in daily duties.
• Maintain proficiency in all security-related tasks.
• Test knowledge and demonstrate skills at regular intervals.
• Operate computer terminals and security systems.
• Work effectively under pressure, maintaining detail and accuracy.
• Express ideas courteously and effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Read, understand, and interpret rules and regulations.
• Formulate appropriate plans of action, factoring in public relations.
• Follow and abide by rules and regulations governing conduct.
• Work independently, taking initiative to correct problems or find solutions.
• Deal courteously and tactfully with the public and fellow employees.
• React calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
• Align behavior with the organization's needs, priorities, and goals.
• Monitor and operate fixed base communications equipment.
• Receive and transmit messages between fixed base locations and mobile units.
• Coordinate movement of security personnel in response to situations.
• Monitor electronic alarms and emergency management systems.
• Provide information and assistance to the public.
• Monitor video surveillance systems and initiate recording as necessary.
• Maintain logs and prepare reports.
• Receive, inventory, secure, and release lost and found property.

• Successful completion of training programs such as pre-assignment security tapes, safety orientation, CPR/First Aid & AED, and computer training.
• Proficiency in English language.
• Ability to maintain composure and make appropriate decisions in various situations.
• Ability to prioritize requests and messages.
• Ability to transcribe radio and telephone messages quickly and accurately.
• Ability to meet and deal with the public professionally.
• Considerable knowledge of departmental rules and procedures.
• Working knowledge of laws and regulations in loss prevention and property management.

• Verbal Judo tape series.
• Optional flagging training for special events.
• Ability to type at a reasonable speed with accuracy.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of BELLEVUE, WA.

The pay range for this position is $49000.00 - $50960.00/yr.
