ID: 77097398 Shift: 12H Nights Nights, 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule, MUST FLOAT Zone 1 Floating - Penrose Hos Description: Unit Process: Candidate Interview- Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement- Radius:60 MILES, DL must be submitted- Floating roles: Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone's city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible as the requirement to float throughout the full 60 mile zone applies regardless of where the traveler obtains housing. - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Must have 2 years of ICU experience - Prefer prior travel experience If a 1st time traveler- then they need to have 3+ years of ICU experience & have Epic experience \"**NO HOME BASE FACILITY **Must float within Zone 1: (Based around Colorado Springs, CO): Penrose Hospital - 7 miles from Colorado Springs City Center2222 N Nevada Ave Colorado Springs, COSt. Francis Medical Center 12 miles from Colorado Springs City Center6001 E Woodmen Rd Colorado Springs, CO St. Francis InterQuest 13 miles from Colorado Springs City Center10860 New Allegiance Drive Colorado Springs, COSt. Mary Corwin 46 miles from Colorado Springs City Center1008 Minnequa Ave Pueblo, CO St. Thomas More 45 miles from Colorado Springs City Center1338 Phay Ave Canon City, COUnit\"ICU Float(Combination: MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.)\"- Ratios\"1:1-2 dependent on acuity; may be asked to flex up to 1:31:1 for high acuity patients such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc. \"- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, - Common diagnoses/Types of patientsGeneral- Combination ICUs- Experience or 'Must have' skills\"Must have 2 years of ICU experience - Prefer prior travel experience If a 1st time traveler- then they need to have 3+ years of ICU experience & have Epic experience \"- Are RNs required to titrate drips?Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips- Common titratable &/or set rate dripsPressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, & more- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?Designated Charge on each unit; doesn't take a patient assignment unless necessary; more common for night shift charge to end up with a small pt assignment- Are there nurse aids on this unit/RatiosNone; For sitter needs only - RT in ICU 24/7\"Designated RT for ICU- but may not be on the unit 24/7; - RNs expected to be able to assist in troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs. \"- RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow; Breathing treatments - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?No monitor tech; RNs are expected to read and interpret their own tele - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
