Job Description

• Staging and/or design experience; furniture knowledge helpful.
• Ability to follow specifications as laid out; creative eye and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay ahead of the trends; experience in planning and project management.
• Excellent organization; responsible for items being shipped and received.
• Work closely with shipping and receiving employees to ensure a smooth department; maintain inventory.
• Keep department organized and free from safety hazards.
• Manage and set day-to-day displays of the showroom.
• Ensure showroom reflects the newest design pieces.
• Welcome and work with outside Designers.
• Speak comfortably about the functional and stylistic benefits of products.
• Provide relevant design advise, produce knowledge and product recommendations.
• Determine customers goals and requirements of their design project.
• Responsible for incoming and outbound furniture shipments from main warehouse.
• Manage, lead and support shipping personnel; create work schedules.
• Print Barcode labels, Price tags, and ensure new product is properly tagged.


Physical requirements include : hanging pictures, moving rugs and furniture items, climbing up, and down small ladder (assisted and unassisted by shipping personnel).

 
Hourly pay rate depending on experience.
Report to owners.
