Job Description

We are seeking skilled MIG Welders to join our team. The primary responsibility will involve welding on mild carbon steel in various positions. The role also requires the use of grinders, hand tools, and reading blueprints. This position is integral to finishing projects within allocated target times and involves material handling and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild carbon steel (7-14 gauge, mainly 12 gauge) in horizontal, vertical, and circular positions.
• Utilize grinders and various hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers.
• Occasionally read blueprints to guide welding tasks.
• Use a hand cart to pull materials needed for orders.
• Complete projects within specified target times, ranging from 30 minutes to 5 hours.
• Lift materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Operate a hydraulic welding table.
• Spend 90% of the day on MIG welding and 10% on transporting materials and using hand tools.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Experience with vertical, horizontal, and circular welding positions.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of University Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
