Fabricator (Welder II)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28269
Pay: $27/hr for 1st shift
and :$28/hr for 2nd shift
12+ Months Contract
Responsibilities
- Execute precise layout and fit-up work using fixtures or positioners
- Perform welding on various metals using Pulsed MIG, Short-Client MIG, or Submerged Client techniques
- Assemble fabricated metal products efficiently, ensuring strong, consistent welds
- Operate MIG welders, plasma cutters, and acetylene torches safely
- Conduct hand grinding, forming, and a variety of brazing functions as required
- Maintain an organized, clean workspace and uphold all safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
- Assist colleagues in fabrication and assembly processes as needed
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of hands-on experience with Pulsed MIG, Short-Client MIG, or Submerged Client welding in a manufacturing environment
- ASME welding certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Physical capability to weld in challenging positions (kneeling, lying down, overhead)
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Effective communication skills
